• --- 200g finely chopped roasted walnuts or roasted peanuts or roasted hazelnuts
METHOD
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a medium bowl, lightly whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cornstarch. Set aside.
2. In another large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and butter until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one by one, then the vanilla extract. Beat for 3-4 minutes until the mixture lightens in color and the sugar is well incorporated.
3. Gradually add the dry ingredients mixture to the sugar and butter mixture, stirring carefully until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
4. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Use a spoon or an ice cream scoop to form dough balls (about 2 tablespoons each) and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 10 cm space between them. You can add extra chocolate chips and nuts on top.
5. Bake for 13-16 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
