chrysolefou.com1994, on my 18th birthday, in Kofinou. I'm wearing my new floral dress and placing the sweets I prepared with my mum and friends on the table for my birthday. In a prominent position is my mum's charlotte, which she always made quickly without sponge cake to save time. She used ladyfingers, pastry cream, spoon sweets, and lots of toasted almonds. Since then, I had christened it... 'Mum's cream' and I've made it countless times and in different ways. Always, though, without whipped cream for topping because Mum doesn't like it!
