About the festival
Traditional flavors, music, and Cypriot hospitality come together for a grand celebration in the central square, with free admission.
The heart of Cypriot tradition will beat once again in Tseri this year, as one of the region's longest-running festivals returns. The 55th Tsakkisti Olive Festival will take place on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 8:00 PM, in Tseri's central square.
The star of the evening, as every year, will be the tsakkisti olive, a beloved Cypriot delicacy linked to daily diet, rural life, and local hospitality. Its preparation is a simple yet distinctive process, still passed down from generation to generation.
The festival was created to honor this unique product of Cypriot soil, and more than five decades later, it remains a significant institution for Tseri. Through its organization, the community's customs, traditions, and flavors are showcased, keeping its connection to heritage alive.
Traditional stalls will operate on-site, offering visitors the chance to discover local products and Cypriot flavors. Food and drink will complement the experience, setting the scene for an authentic popular gathering.
Music will also be a part of the celebration, setting the rhythm for the evening and inviting the public to enjoy themselves. Residents, friends of the community, and visitors of all ages will gather in the square, united by a product that is an integral part of Cyprus's gastronomic identity.
The Tsakkisti Olive Festival is organized by the Anagennisi Tseriou Sports and Cultural Association. With 55 years of history, it remains a constant point of reference for the community and a wonderful occasion for its people to reunite in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
