About the festival
A two-day event filled with authentic Cypriot flavors, music, dance, and hospitality is coming to the village church square.
Potamitissa is preparing to welcome locals and visitors to the Traditional Cured Meats and Palouzes Festival, which will take place on the weekend of September 26 and 27, 2026, in the village church square.
For two days, the distinctive flavors of the region will be honored. Visitors can taste exquisite traditional cured meats from Potamitissa, as well as freshly made palouzes, the beloved grape must dessert inextricably linked to the grape harvest season.
The festival offers a wonderful opportunity for the public to better understand the community's gastronomic identity and the traditional methods of product preparation passed down through generations. It also highlights the culture, customs, and authentic Cypriot hospitality characteristic of the Pitsilia villages.
The festive atmosphere will be complemented by a rich artistic program featuring music and dance, offering both young and old the chance to have fun and enjoy a special autumn weekend in the heart of the village.
The Traditional Cured Meats and Palouzes Festival is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment.
Information: Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27, 2026, church square, Potamitissa.
