About the festival
A beautiful gathering at the 'Kyparissos' picnic site, dedicated to one of the most beloved flavors of the Cypriot grape harvest.
Salamioú is preparing to celebrate palouze again this year, the traditional delicacy inextricably linked to grapes and the harvest season. The annual celebration will take place at the 'Kyparissos' picnic site.
Within the beautiful natural environment of the area, residents, expatriates, and visitors will gather for an event dedicated to the flavors and customs of the Cypriot countryside. The focus will be on palouze, which is made from grape must and is one of the most characteristic traditional autumn delicacies.
The festival is part of the Experiential Workshops, giving the public the opportunity to connect with knowledge and practices passed down through generations. Through such activities, tradition is not merely presented as a memory from the past, but as a living experience in which both young and old can participate.
The Salamioú Community Council extends an open invitation to associations, organized groups, and expatriates of the community to participate actively. The goal is to create a large gathering that will unite the people of the village around their common roots and a beloved Cypriot flavor.
