About the festival
The 22nd Apple Festival returns on October 10 and 11, filling the mountain village with flavors, aromas, and tradition.
Nestled at the foothills of the Papoutsa and Madari mountain ranges, at an altitude of approximately 1,350 meters, lies Kyperounta, one of Cyprus's most beautiful mountain villages. In autumn, the village takes on distinct colors and aromas as it prepares to host the beloved Apple Festival once again.
The 22nd Kyperounta Apple Festival will take place on the weekend of October 10 and 11, 2026, inviting all ages to a two-day celebration dedicated to one of the region's most characteristic products.
The festival, which has evolved into one of Cyprus's most significant local institutions, is organized by the Kyperounta Community Council and the Kyperounta Youth Center. Each year, it attracts numerous visitors who come to the village to learn about local production, enjoy the area's beauty, and sample products with apple as the main ingredient.
Fresh apples, traditional sweets, apple pies, jams, juices, and other creations are expected to be featured, highlighting the taste and quality of Kyperounta's renowned apples. The event also offers an opportunity to meet the producers and the people who keep the region's agricultural and gastronomic heritage alive.
Kyperounta is already a beloved destination for mountain excursions. In October, however, there will be an additional reason to visit and enjoy an autumn weekend filled with tradition, authentic flavors, and fresh mountain air.
