About the festival
Kathikas, one of the most renowned wine villages in the Paphos district, is once again celebrating the product inextricably linked to its history, daily life, and identity: the grape. On Friday, August 21st, residents and visitors are invited to the village's Community Parking Area for a grand summer celebration featuring music, local flavors, and wine.
The evening will highlight Kathikas' viticultural tradition, a village that maintains a close relationship with grape cultivation and wine production. Free grapes will be offered to the public, giving everyone the chance to taste the fruit that is the star of the event. Additionally, food and drinks will be available for purchase, completing the experience of an authentic Cypriot countryside festival.
The musical entertainment will be provided by Stelios Dionysiou, one of the most beloved performers of contemporary laiko music. With well-known hits and songs that have left their mark on Greek music, the artist is expected to sweep the audience into a night full of singing, dancing, and high spirits. The event will be presented by Rikkos Ioannou.
The festival is a wonderful opportunity for an afternoon excursion to Kathikas, a stroll through its picturesque streets, and an introduction to the unique character of one of Cyprus's most important wine-producing villages. With free admission, live music, and the aroma of grapes, the event promises an evening that combines tradition with entertainment.
