About the festival
Chef Christos Christodoulou, Eleni Mavroudi, and the ANTAMA Dance School will meet at the village square.
Galata opens its arms, welcoming locals and visitors to a grand celebration dedicated to tradition, local gastronomy, and culture. The Tradition and Authentic Flavours Festival will take place on Saturday, September 5, starting at 16:00, transforming the village square into a vibrant meeting point filled with aromas, music, and Cypriot hospitality.
The culinary aspect of the event is led by Chef Christos Christodoulou, who will take the audience on a journey through authentic flavours. Through his presentation, he will highlight the importance of traditional recipes and their close connection to history, local products, and the daily life of people in the Cypriot countryside.
However, the festival is not limited to gastronomy alone. Eleni Mavroudi and her musical ensemble will present a rich artistic program, filling the square with music and beloved melodies. The ANTAMA Dance School will also participate in the celebration, adding movement and rhythm to the afternoon program.
The event is a wonderful opportunity for all ages to discover aspects of the island's cultural and gastronomic heritage in a warm, festive atmosphere. It also offers the perfect excuse for an autumn excursion to the Solea valley and a stroll through picturesque Galata.
With its traditional houses, cobblestone streets, and authentic character, Galata provides the ideal setting for a different kind of afternoon away from the city. Flavours, music, dance, and the hospitable spirit of its residents will combine to create an experience that brings tradition into the present.
