About the festival
The 'Palmos' Cultural Association of Episkopi once again organizes the Cracked Olive Festival, inviting the public to an authentic evening dedicated to the flavors, customs, and hospitality of rural Cyprus.
Episkopi is a community with a long tradition in olive cultivation and the traditional cracking of the fruit. Cracked olives are not just a beloved accompaniment to the Cypriot table, but part of the gastronomic identity and daily life of the region. Through this event, the community aims to keep this valuable heritage alive and introduce it to younger generations.
The festival is a wonderful opportunity for residents and visitors to gather, taste traditional flavors, and recall customs and traditions passed down from generation to generation. Food, drink, and good company will play a leading role in an evening with an authentic Cypriot character.
Musical entertainment will be provided by the Levare Band, lifting spirits with beloved songs and inviting the audience to dance. It's a festival that combines gastronomy with music, reminding us that tradition remains alive when people gather and share it.
So, on Friday, September 11, we meet in Episkopi to eat, drink, dance, and honor one of the most characteristic products of Cypriot land.
