About the festival
Athienou is preparing to don its festive attire and host, once again, a festival dedicated to Cypriot tradition, authentic flavors, and local products.
The Athienou Products Festival returns on Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 10:00 to 22:00, at Konstantineio Municipal Park, inviting all ages to an all-day celebration filled with flavors, music, tradition, and culture.
Naturally, the beloved Athienou products and the people who keep the local culinary tradition alive will be at the heart of the event. From freshly baked breads and pastries to 'ofto kleftiko' (slow-cooked lamb), 'loukoumades' (honey dumplings), halloumi and anari cheeses, 'pourgouri' (bulgur), 'loukoumia' (Cypriot delights), and nuts, visitors will have the opportunity to discover and taste the distinctive flavors of Athienou.
The program also includes traditional gastronomy workshops, where participants can learn firsthand how to prepare beloved Cypriot delicacies such as halloumi and anari, 'trahanas' (fermented milk and wheat soup), bread, and 'makaronia tou sklinitziou' (traditional pasta). Furthermore, the famous Athienou embroideries hold a special place in the event, with the village's embroiderers showcasing the art and tradition of 'pittota' embroideries.
And because an authentic Cypriot 'panigyri' (festival) is incomplete without music and dance, the celebration will feature traditional dances, music, and concerts, creating the perfect occasion for an autumn outing in Athienou.
The Athienou Products Festival invites us to Athienou for an all-day celebration dedicated to Cypriot taste, tradition, and its people.
