About the festival
A traditional festival dedicated to two unique flavors of the Cypriot vineyard is coming to the village in September.
Agios Mamas in the Limassol district is preparing to welcome residents and visitors to a festival dedicated to Commandaria and palouzes. The event will take place on Sunday, September 20, 2026, offering a wonderful opportunity for an autumn excursion to the Cypriot countryside.
The focus will be on two products directly related to the vine and the harvest season. On one hand, Commandaria, the sweet wine that is one of Cyprus's most recognizable products, and on the other, palouzes, the beloved traditional delicacy made from fresh must.
The organizers aim to bring the public closer to the flavors and customs that characterized the daily life of viticultural villages for years. At the same time, it will highlight Agios Mamas' close relationship with viticulture and the region's gastronomic heritage.
Beyond its culinary aspect, the festival will be an opportunity for residents, expatriates, friends of the community, and visitors to meet. In a warm and welcoming environment, attendees will be able to share flavors, stories, and memories, keeping the village's connection to its roots alive.
The event is organized by the Association of Expatriates and Friends of Agios Mamas Limassol, aiming to promote local tradition and strengthen ties between residents and those originating from the community.
