About the festival
Some festivals manage to combine everything we love in a summer afternoon: good food, great company, music, and authentic local flavors. One such event is the Pareklisia Tomato Festival, returning for its fifth year, promising an unforgettable experience for the whole family.
On Sunday, June 28, the Pareklisia Community Stadium will be filled with aromas, colors, and flavors, with the tomato taking center stage as one of the most beloved and valuable products of Cypriot cuisine.
From early afternoon, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy children's activities, interactive workshops, and a modern shadow puppet theater that will keep young friends entertained.
A special highlight of the program is the live cooking demonstration, where I will be presenting favorite recipes and creative ideas using the tomato as the main ingredient. Together, we will discover how versatile and delicious this everyday product can be, through flavors that blend tradition with modern cuisine.
Of course, there will be plenty of treats and traditional flavors, with visitors having the chance to taste the beloved "pomilorotigania" and other delicacies associated with local gastronomy.
As the sun sets, music will take over. A grand tribute to Marinella and Dimitris Mitropanos will transport the audience through beloved songs, creating an atmosphere full of nostalgia, emotion, and entertainment.
If you love festivals that highlight our local products and offer wonderful moments for all ages, then the Pareklisia Tomato Festival is a stop worth adding to your summer schedule.
