About the festival
Palouzes takes center stage once again, inviting us to the beautiful village of Prastio in the Paphos district to enjoy it warm and freshly made. The village's traditional festival returns for its fourth year on Sunday, October 4, 2026, transforming the Prastio Primary School grounds into a vibrant meeting point for locals and visitors alike.
The star of the day will, of course, be palouzes, offered free of charge to all attendees. Additionally, traditional delicacies, food, and drinks will be available for purchase, giving visitors the chance to savor familiar flavors of the Cypriot countryside.
The program includes interactive workshops, traditional grape pressing, and a demonstration of the zivania distillation process. Both young and old will have the opportunity to experience old harvest traditions firsthand and discover how grapes are transformed into beloved Cypriot products.
The festive atmosphere will be enhanced by traditional songs and dances performed by the "Ieroi Kipoi" Cultural Group. For children, there will be inflatables and face painting, with a program promising entertainment for the whole family.
The 4th Palouzes Festival offers a wonderful opportunity for an autumn excursion to Prastio, filled with authentic flavors, tradition, and Cypriot hospitality.
