About the festival
The 4th Cyprus Tradition Festival arrives on October 24 and 25, featuring weaving and embroidery, activities for children, and a grand finale with Vasiliki Hadjiadamou.
Two days filled with Cypriot flavors, arts, and music await visitors at the 4th Cyprus Tradition Festival by the Holy Metropolis of Limassol. The event will take place on Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 10:30 to 20:00, in the courtyard of the Metropolitan Church of Panagia Pantanassa.
This year's tribute focuses on traditional weaving and embroidery, highlighting the art, patience, and skill behind every handmade creation.
The festival will host municipalities, communities, and organized groups from Karavas, Lapithos, Athienou, Lefkara, Kapouti Morphou, Omodos, Koilani, and Fyti, showcasing different facets of the island's cultural heritage.
Visitors can explore these arts through weaving and embroidery exhibitions and experiential workshops, alongside demonstrations of traditional professions. For children, the program includes interactive games and creative activities that connect them with tradition through participation.
A special highlight is the traditional pasta workshop with chefs Christina Christofi and Androulla Kefala. The "Pafios" shadow theatre, starring Karagiozis, will entertain all ages, while the "Modern Shadow Theatre" will offer children a puppet-making workshop.
The celebration will be complemented by a rich artistic program, featuring cultural and artistic groups, traditional dances, tsiattista (Cypriot rhyming songs), music, and singing. The festival will conclude with Vasiliki Hadjiadamou and her orchestra, in a finale dedicated to traditional song.
Cypriot cuisine will also be a major part of the two-day event. Throughout the festival, visitors can enjoy kleftiko, resi, sieftalies, zalatina, and trachanas, as well as fresh halloumi and soujouko made on the spot. An opportunity to combine our stroll with flavors and arts that hold a special place in the island's history.
