About the festival
Fyti, Paphos, dresses up for its 3rd Fythkiotiko Weaving Festival, inviting us to a special weekend filled with tradition, music, flavors, and creativity on October 3rd and 4th, 2026.
For two days, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, the village square and surrounding areas will come alive, centered around the famous Fythkiotiko Weaving and traditional Cypriot art.
Visitors will have the chance to experience the art of weaving firsthand through Fythkiotiko Weaving workshops held in the open homes of the village's weavers, at the Museum, and the Cultural Building. Additionally, halloumi-making workshops will take place, offering both children and adults a hands-on opportunity to connect with Cypriot tradition.
The festival will naturally feature abundant music, with live Greek and Cypriot music and song, as well as Cypriot dance performances, creating the ideal setting for an authentic traditional celebration.
Younger visitors also have their place at the festival, with children's activities, an inflatable for toddlers, and farm animals in the square, sure to delight them. The Cultural Building will also host a painting exhibition by Nikis Art.
Of course, traditional flavors will be plentiful at such a festival. Food, drinks, loukoumades, honey pies, and other beloved Cypriot delicacies will complement the experience, while stalls with traditional Cypriot products and handicrafts will offer visitors the chance to purchase local goods and creations.

The event is organized by the Association of Expatriates and Friends of Fyti – To Fytiotiko and the Fyti Community Council.
